Nap Worth Painting: Meet Sebastion
I recently had the joy of painting this 14-year old siamese cat as a commissioned pet portrait, and I completely fell in love with this endearing pose. (Honestly, it gave me the perfect excuse to break out my favorite Daniel Smith Opera Pink paint!)
It’s these quiet, cozy glimpses that make a keepsake painting so special—a way to treasure our loyal companions.
Every painting has a story—especially a 14-year-old Siamese on a pink blanket.

New In Huntsville Art Studio: The Life of a Cat Series
From the playful pounce to the quiet nap, my latest watercolor series explores the curiosity and silliness that makes cats such a gift. These three pet portrait poses (only two shown here), these feline portraits were inspired by the daily antics of my own studio buddy—Ki-Lani, who loves to “help” by walking directly across my palette.
These are available in my shop.

Featured Products
Think of this as a miniature collectible. I created this version for those small, quiet nooks that need a little beauty. This small art print is the perfect way to bring art into a small space—reminding you to pause and reflect even in the busiest parts of your home.
As an artist at Amy Boardman Art, my goal is to help you pause, reflect, and cherish the gift of the present. I painted these daisies to capture that quiet moment of finding beauty in a simple glass jar.
This is the top-tier version of the art print for those who want a true “gallery” look on their wall. I’ve hand-signed, titled, and numbered each of these in pencil on the border. It comes matted in a 8×10 double mat, so it’s ready to pop straight into a standard frame. It’s a special way to reflect on the simple things and cherish a little piece of nature that never wilts.
“The ultimate studio supervisor (and professional box-sitter).”
Meet Ki-Lani, my calico cat art studio ninja! When she is not performing “quality checks” on my latest paintings, she can usually be found claiming any empty box she can find. This hand-painted watercolor design captures Ki-Lani on duty-masked, sitting inside an Amy Boardman Art studio box with a paintbrush in her mouth (dripping her favorite Opera Pink paint, of course!). She is the heart of the studio and the official mascot of my creative process.
