Instructions For

A Commissioned Painting:

Email Communication: 💌 💬 To inquire about or purchase a commissioned painting, please click the 'Email Details For Commission' button above. Here, you can share the details of your vision and ask any questions you may have regarding your desired artwork, including size, medium, and subject. If you're interested in a commissioned 8” X 10” pet portrait, click the 'Pet Portraits Commission' button above for more details.

Purchase, Deposit, & Contract: 💰 📝 To secure a custom-commissioned painting, please email the requested size, medium, subject, and any additional details. Once we've discussed your vision in detail and you're ready to proceed with the purchase, I'll provide you with a direct invoice link for the commission. Upon receiving full payment, I'll send you instructions on where to send your reference photos and a signed contract.

Once I've received the references and signed contract, I'll begin bringing your vision to life! Please note that full payment is required before the artwork is shipped. As each piece is a unique, custom creation tailored to your specific vision, I do not offer refunds for commissioned paintings.

Photos: 📸 🌄 To ensure I create the best-commissioned painting for you, please provide two or more high-resolution, clear images. These photos will serve as the starting point for capturing all the details of your artwork. Additionally, please ensure that you own the rights to or have taken the photos yourself.

Please note that poor-quality images, such as those that are overly pixelated, in shadow, or too small, may hinder the visibility of details and ultimately affect the final painting. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Preliminary Rough Sketch: ✍🏻 If your commissioned piece requires combining elements from multiple photos to realize your vision, I'll provide a preliminary rough sketch for your feedback. Prompt approval is essential to avoid any delays. Conversely, if photo compilation isn't necessary, I'll share an initial progress snapshot before applying final touches. Before shipping, you'll receive a final snapshot for your approval.

Maintaining open communication and providing timely approval will be pivotal in ensuring your project is completed, finalized, and delivered on schedule.

Timeframe To Create: ⏰👨‍🎨 The timeline for crafting commissioned paintings can vary. Typically, smaller paintings can be completed in approximately seven business days or less, excluding shipping. However, please note that timelines may vary depending on factors such as the size and complexity of the artwork, the quality and timely receipt of photo references, prompt completion of required steps, effective communication, and the volume of commissioned orders.

Shipping and Handling: 📦🚚 I utilize USPS and UPS for shipping. For further details on shipping methods, estimated delivery times, and associated costs, please refer to the FAQs and Care Instructions at the bottom of the page.

Please be aware that delivery of artwork may experience delays, especially during inclement weather such as snow and ice. Alabama, in particular, faces challenges during winter conditions, affecting road clearing and package deliveries compared to Northern states. Additionally, work strikes by USPS and UPS can impact package delivery.

Rest assured, I will keep you informed if the process extends beyond the mentioned conditions and timeframe.
