I believe art should do more than fill a space; it should breathe. In a world filled with fast trends, mass production, many collectors find themselves asking a deeper question:
“Does this piece actually mean something to me?”
As a faith-filled artist, I believe a painting should reflect beauty, wonder, and the gift of the present moment—inspiring hope, peace, and stillness. If you have ever longed for art that speaks to your soul, you are not alone. You are exactly who I create for.
Why Art Should Speak to the Soul
Art has always been a powerful form of expression—but the pieces that endure are the ones that connect. They carry more than pigment; they carry memory, emotion, and a quiet spiritual stirring.
When I pick up a brush, I am looking for glimpses of the Divine in the mundane—the rhythmic pulse of crashing waves, the soft glow on a sunlit pear, or the sacred silence of a boat resting on the shore. To me, every canvas is a response to a calling: a way to honor and reflect the Creator’s hand. ,
I don’t just paint what I see—I paint what moves me and I feel guided to share.
A Journey Rooted in Longing
My journey began in a season of quiet preparation. Early in my marriage, while living in California, I felt a deep pull to fill our home with beauty. Though our beginnings were modest, my vision for a space that felt like home—restorative and clear—was always present. I realized then that blending meaning with beauty was not just about decor—it was about creating a place where our interests and beliefs could truly rest.
When i couldn’t find the pieces that truly spoke to us and our story, I felt a spark of possibility: “Maybe I can paint something like that.” What began as a personal search for beauty become a profound discovery.
I’ve come to believe that the most powerful pieces are those that do more than decorate—they connect. I do not just paint what I see; I paint what moves me and what I feel guided to share. Every canvas is my response to a calling: a way to honor and reflect the creator’s hand in the crashing waves, a soft glow of a sunlit pear, or a boat resting on the shore.
The Presence of Original Art
There is a quiet but profound difference between decor and fine art. While decor is designed to fill a space, original art is created to inhabit it. Each painting is a one-of-a-kind expression, painted through a slow, intentional process.
For me, original work carries a sense of presence. It is a visual anchor that may remind you of a cherished memory, a sense of quiet hope, or a moment of much-needed stillness. These pieces are not meant to follow fleeting trends; they are menat to be timeless, carrying a story from my studio into your special space.
Choosing Art That Resonates
Many people ask me what makes a painting truly “collector-worthy.” While color and composition matter, I believe the value rests in Authenticity—the visible maker of the artist’s hand—and a Connection that moves the viewer.
A piece worth bringing into your home is one that carries the visible mark of the artist’s hand and a story that moves you. Whether a painting reminds you of a cherished special memory, a truth you hold dear, or a truth you hold dear in your heart, that resonance is what makes a piece timeless My hope is that my work offers a quiet reflection of the beauty and purpose woven into our lives.
Reflections from the Studio
One of my favorite pieces, “Pear-fectly Aligned",” was born from a moment of quiet reflection on the beauty of harmony. While it is a still life, it serves as a metaphor for the way things—relationships, timing, and growth—can fall into a beautiful, quiet order. To me, it is a reminder of the unity and balance found in the Creator’s design and character
Similarly, “Tides of Solitude” reflects those rare, sacred moments when we step away from the noise. Inspired by the coastal horizon, this scene isn’t about loneliness—it’s about restoration. It is an invitation to breathe deeply and rest in the peace that finds us when we finally slow down.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” —Psalm 46:10
